Sari Stampede!!!

while it is sad that 21 poor women died...I can't help but think it worth a giggle that such a thing can happen.

If it were in Spain, people would be stampeded by each other to avoid being stampeded by bulls.
If this were the wild west, people would be stampeded by cattle.
If it were in saudi arabia, people would be stampeding each other during hajj.
If it were the US, people would be stampeding for the first ticket to a concert, or free schwag.
but in india, poor women stampede for nice clothes.

are we but animals? how easy it is for us to kill one another to get something we really want or need. it is a sad commentary on our human lot.
